Alice fire fighters responded to a grass fire Saturday at 5:45 p.m. that spread to a vacant home and threatened another home off of South Highway 281 in the city limits. San Diego and Ben Bolt volunteer fire fighters also assisted with the fire. The house was vacant and no injuries occurred.
