2. TREASURER'S
REPORT: Ken Wagoner reports that
the Charity Account balance is $1,743.37.
General Checking Account balance is $1,270.82. All bills are paid.

FPO REPORT: FPO information is always available at: www.firepreventionofficers.org. Sam Husoe reports that the FPO group Is
preparing for ICC code hearings to be held in Rochester, NY.
4.
EDUCATION REPORT: The
San Diego Fire Protection Association continues to sponsor the Fire Sprinkler
Technology Seminar Series. This is a
monthly workshop-style seminar series intended for AHJ's, Plan Reviewers, Field
Inspectors & Designers.
A special training session was held on APRIL 10. Russ Leavitt,
former SDFPA president currently with Fire Materials Group conducted a special
3 ½ hour session reviewing NFPA 25. May
brings us back to our regular schedule of the 1st Thursday of the
month, topic is residential fire sprinklers.
5. OLD BUSINESS/PAST EVENTS:

Joint meeting was held in Anaheim with James Golinveaux from Tyco Fire Products
as the guest speaker. Great speaker -
great meeting!
6. UPCOMING
EVENTS / NEW BUSINESS:
- 4/12
- SFPE San Diego Chapter regular meeting. 11:30 at Sizzler on Aero Drive.
- 5/3 to 5/6 - NFSA in Las Vegas
- 5/19 - SDFPA Golf Tournament
- BOARD OF DIRECTORS - NOMINATIONS -
will be solicited and collected via email during the next month. You may nominate up to Four (4)
candidates. Any member may make a
nomination.
ACTUAL VOTE WILL TAKE PLACE AT OUR JUNE
MEETING. ONE VOTE PER MEMBER/COMPANY.
7.
PROGRAM:
Russ Leavitt provided an abbreviated version of his morning
educational session. NFPA 25, changes to
the 2008 edition and what is included in the “California 25” - a reference to
the new document which adopts NFPA 25 and requirements of Title 19 for the
State of CA.
