2. TREASURER'S REPORT: Ken Wagoner reports that the Charity Account balance is $1,761.37.  General Checking Account balance is $813.24.  All bills are paid and annual dues are being collected.

3. FPO REPORT:  Sam Husoe could not attend.  FPO information is always available at:  www.firepreventionofficers.org.

4. EDUCATION REPORT:   The San Diego Fire Protection Association continues to sponsor the Fire Sprinkler Technology Seminar Series.  This is a monthly workshop-style seminar series intended for AHJ's, Plan Reviewers,  Field Inspectors & Designers.

Location:           San Marcos Fire Training Center,  Date/Time:  1^st Thursday of Each Month, 8:00 - Noon

Topics:              NFPA 13, 13D, 13R -  1999 and 2002 editions

Last class' topic was earthquake bracing and it was well attended!  Next up:  Storage.

5. OLD BUSINESS/PAST EVENTS:

• October 4 - Joe Cage retirement party.  See photos on our website!
• October 5 - FSCA joint meeting and golf.  SDFPA team won!
• Members will no longer receive faxed announcements or minutes.  Please get Terri Leyton your email address to be on our distribution list.
• SDFD weld inspections are ON HOLD.

6. UPCOMING EVENTS / NEW BUSINESS:

• 11/7 - Election Day - Get out and VOTE
• 11/7 - Joint meeting - FSCA, AFSA, NFSA, SDFPA
• 11/11 - Veterans Day, Hug a Veteran
• 11/14 - SDFPA meeting.  Jim Flores w/ The Burn Institute will be our speaker
• 11/14 - San Diego SFPE, program is changes to the IFC
• 11/18 - AFSA SoCal
• 12/6 - AFSA San Diego, Seau's Restaurant

7. PROGRAM:  Dale O'Dell - Local 669.  Dale gave an informative presentation on the activities of the Local 669.  Be aware that they have a burn trailer that is available - make sure to plan ahead!
