13, 2006
1. ATTENDANCE: Lots of folk. Unfortunately,
somebody swiped the attendance list, so instead of trying to guess who was
there, we will just thank those who were for coming and we hope you enjoyed it.
2. TREASURER'S REPORT: Ken Wagoner reports that the
Charity Account balance is $1,764.37 and the General Account balance is
$1,464.61. All bills are paid.
3. FPO REPORT: San Husoe was unable to attend. Steve Leyton provided an update of FPO
activities with regard to the I-Code Adoption and AB2836. FPO information is always available at: www.firepreventionofficers.com

EDUCATION REPORT: The San Diego Fire
Protection Association continues to sponsor the Fire Sprinkler Technology
Seminar Series. This is a monthly
workshop-style seminar series intended for AHJ's, Plan Reviewers, Field
Inspectors & Designers.
- Next class: September 14 - Topic: NPFA 13 - What “little surprises” and
“GOTCHAS” to look for!

San Marcos Fire Training Center, Date/Time: 1st Thursday
of Each Month, 8:00a - Noon
5. OLD BUSINESS/PAST EVENTS:
- AFSA Annual
Convention was held in Dallas, TX from September 6 - 10, 2006. There was a great turn-out and several
members of our organization were in attendance.
- San Diego County
Fire Chiefs Assn. Golf Tournament was held on Sept. 12, 2006. Though our team didn't do well, a good time
was had by all.
6. UPCOMING EVENTS / NEW BUSINESS:
- 10/5 - FSCASC Annual Golf Tournament
- 10/14 - AFSA Charity Softball

7. PROGRAM: David
Sandage with Industrial Fire and Lyle Hall with Western Fire provided an
informative overview of the benefits of AFSA membership. Both stressed the available resources for

California Business Manager for Local 669 will be our speaker.
