2. TREASURER'S
REPORT: Ken Wagoner reports that the Charity Account balance is $2,094.90
General Checking Account balance is $1,668.07, for a total: $3,762.97.
This does not include funds received for the Charity Golf Tournament to
date.
3. FPO REPORT: Sam Husoe with NFSA provided a comprehensive
FPO report. To view the report, go to: www.sdfpa.org.

4. EDUCATION REPORT: The San Diego
Fire Protection Association continues to sponsor the Fire Sprinkler Technology
Seminar Series. This is a monthly
workshop-style seminar series intended for AHJ's, Plan Reviewers, Field
Inspectors & Designers. June 2006
Instructor is Steve Leyton.
Location: San
Marcos Fire Training Center, Date/Time: 1st Thursday of Each
Month, 8:00a - Noon
Topics: NFPA
13, 13D, 13R - 1999 and 2002 editions

NFSA-Socal held their evening meeting at Monterey Hill in Alhambra. Guest speaker was

AFSA San Diego
- Held their monthly meeting at Seau's
May 5th was the Burn
Institute Padre Game. Great turnout and
great game!

Board of Directors Elections

Nominations were accepted at today's meeting. This year the committee has approved
on-line (e-mail) and fax voting by fully current (dues paid)
members. One vote permitted per company. See the enclosed ballot for candidates and
submission instructions. Additional
nominations will be accepted at the June meeting, and the final vote will be
tallied and announced at that time.

The San Diego County Fire Chief's Association
(FPO Section) has just released their guidelines with regard to the reporting
requirements for deficiencies found by service providers during routine
inspections of fire protection systems.
These requirements may be reviewed on their website (sdcfca.org).
7.
PROGRAM: Isam Hasenin, PE, Chief Deputy
Director/Chief Building Official, Development Services Department, City of San
Diego, provided an overview of what is taking place at the City of San
Diego. Of particular interest: The Building Dept. has announced the effective date of the IBC and IFC (2006
Edition) adoption by the City of San Diego is January 1, 2008. For questions or comments regarding the City
